For Frame and Bracing Structures

When Bedrock Is Near the Surface: For buildings with frame and bracing structures, where the bedrock or a hard, thick soil layer is relatively shallow,  end-bearing cast-in-place piles  are favoured. These piles provide a high load-bearing capacity and help reduce settlement. Options such as large diameter drilled or manual excavation piles can simplify the foundation structure by designing it as a single pile and column foundation.

Industrial and Residential Buildings

Based on Number of Floors and Load Requirements: The selection for industrial and residential buildings hinges on site conditions, construction capabilities, number of floors, and load characteristics. For instance, buildings with up to 10 floors might use cast-in-place piles of around 400-500mm in diameter or precast piles with a side length of 250-300mm.
