Description
Drilling buckets are designed for drilling in all types of soils below groundwater and are widely used in the deep foundation work. Connecting the Kelly bar by Kelly box, the drilling bucket can drill into soft soil, stiff clays or rock layers.
Cleaning drilling buckets are designed in different ways as below:Kelly
box:200mm*200mm;150mm*150mm;130mm*130mm;100mm*100mm; 75mm*75mm or as per client’s request.
Barrel: Cylindrical barrel or conical barrel
Bottom plate: Single bottom or double bottom
Cutter: Single cut or double cut
Wearing protection: wear strip on the shell
Cleaning drilling buckets feature a rotating bottom to load drilled soil when drilling into the ground and a mechanical opening system to unlock bottom parts to release quickly drilled soil when the buckets are lifted by rotary drilling rigs.
Cleaning drilling buckets are compatible with Bauer BG, Soilmec SR, Casagrande, Mait, IMT, CMV, XCMG, Sany, Zoomlion rotary drilling rigs and others.

FAQ
1. What is a drilling bucket?
A drilling bucket is a tool used with rotary drilling rigs, designed for drilling in various soil and rock types. It's typically a cylindrical container with cutting teeth at the base, used to excavate material from boreholes.
2. How does a drilling bucket work?
The bucket, attached to a rotary drilling rig, is driven into the ground. Its cutting teeth break up the soil or rock, filling the bucket. Once filled, it's lifted out of the borehole, removing the excavated material.
3. What are the common applications of drilling buckets?
Drilling buckets are used in construction for drilling deep foundations for buildings, bridges, and other structures. They are also used in geotechnical engineering for creating boreholes.
4. Can drilling buckets be used in all ground conditions?
There are different types of drilling buckets for various conditions. Soil buckets are for softer grounds, rock buckets for harder or rocky terrains, and core buckets for coring in very hard ground or rock.
5. What factors influence the choice of a drilling bucket?
The choice depends on the ground conditions, depth and diameter of the borehole, and the specific requirements of the drilling operation.
6. Are there different types of drilling buckets?
Yes, there are several types, including soil buckets, rock buckets, core buckets, and cleaning buckets, each designed for specific drilling conditions.
7. How do drilling buckets differ in design?
The main differences lie in the type and strength of cutting teeth, the opening mechanism for soil release, and the overall robustness to handle different soil or rock types.
8. How is the excavated material removed from the drilling bucket?
Soil buckets often have a hinged bottom that opens to release the material. In other types, the material is retained until the bucket is brought to the surface and manually emptied.
9. What is the role of a cleaning bucket?
Cleaning buckets are used to clean the bottom of a borehole, ensuring a clean and level surface for construction purposes.
10. How does the size of a drilling bucket affect its performance?
The size of the bucket determines the volume of material it can hold, affecting the efficiency of the drilling operation. Larger buckets can remove more material but require more power to operate.
